| Caregiver's Time Out! |
Are you a caregiver to an elderly person or family member with disability? Even though you take satisfaction in the care that you give your loved one and endeavour to provide the best care possible, certain pressures and challenges unique to caregivers can weigh you down. Caregiver's Time-Out aims to help caregivers maintain their own mental and emotional health even as they look after their loved one.
Join us at Caregiver's Time-Out, a one-day event where caregivers can build support networks, find out where to locate resources in healthcare and step-down care, share and learn practical ways to make the caregiving journey a smoother and more pleasant one.
It is not ideal for caregivers to neglect their own wellbeing as they struggle to balance caregiving with other responsibilities such as work and managing the household. Financial pressures are also a burden, and the dynamics of caregiving itself may sometimes involve conflicts among family members.
If you are:
- A caregiver to an elderly person or person with disability
- Feeling lost, lonely and stressed in your role as a caregiver
- Interested in meeting other caregivers in your neighbourhood
We invite you to join us and be on your way to a more meaningful journey of caring for your loved one.
Caregiver's Time-Out is jointly organized by Khoo Teck Puat Hospital and Centre for Enabled Living.

The Joy-Care Concept
"The Joy-Care Concept" program applies the science of well-being (Positive Psychology) at work and home. It is a highly experiential and interactive approach to fostering resilience through joy and humour. As a caregiver, this workshop will allow you to practise and acquire simple (yet not simplistic) tools to de-stress, to learn about the connection between body and mind, to learn how to ask, to understand the power of gratitude and how fun and laughter can change the way that you feel despite the hardship.
